Chicken Foot Soup Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 lbs chicken foot
- 2 lbs yam (optional)
- 1 lbs pumpkin
- 1/2 green /young breadfruit (optional)
- 1 lbs dasheen (optional)
- 1 cho cho chopped small (optional)
- 2 med. carrot chopped
- 1 stalk scallion
- 2 sprigs thyme
- 1 hot pepper (optional)
- salt
- dumplings (optional)
Cooking Directions
- 1. Prepare Chicken Feet: Clean the chicken feet thoroughly and place them in a large pot. Fill the pot with water and bring to a boil.
- 2. Add Vegetables: Once boiling, add cho cho (chayote), carrots, and pumpkin to the pot.
- 3. Initial Cooking: Cook for 30 minutes, adding more water if necessary to keep the ingredients submerged.
- 4. Add Remaining Ingredients: After 30 minutes, add the remaining ingredients to the pot.
- 5. Simmer: Reduce the heat and simmer for an additional 30 minutes, allowing all the flavors to meld together.
